Questions our patients ask
A few things people often want to know before they book.
Do you accept health fund cover, and will I still pay out of pocket? +
If your fund covers general dental treatment such as scale and cleans, x-rays, fillings and most extractions, we can claim it on the spot using HICAPS, so you'll usually only pay a small gap, if anything. Bigger treatments like root canals, crowns and dentures do cost extra, and we'll always tell you the price before we start.
What age should my child have their first dental visit? +
We recommend bringing your child in from around age 2. We keep the first few visits short and relaxed so they get used to the dentist early.
I get anxious at the dentist. Can you help? +
Yes, absolutely. We work at your pace, explain everything before we start, and offer gentle sedation options if you need extra support to feel at ease.
Is teeth whitening safe, and how long does it last? +
Teeth whitening is safe for most people when it's supervised by a dentist, though some patients experience temporary sensitivity. Most people notice a difference within a few days, and results usually last a couple of years, depending on diet and habits like smoking.
Can you see me the same day for a dental emergency? +
In most cases, yes. Call us on (02) 9488 8849 as soon as you can. If a tooth has been knocked out, keep it in milk or your own saliva and get to us quickly, as timing matters.
Where are you located, and is there parking? +
We're at 951-957 Pacific Highway, Pymble NSW 2073, with parking on site. It's an easy drive from Turramurra, Gordon, St Ives and the rest of the Upper North Shore.
